Can a Revocable Trust be Changed into an Irrevocable One or must it be first disolved?

The maker of a revocable and amendable trust may make whatever changes he or she wishes, including making it irrevocable. I recommend that one think long and hard before making something irrevocable, because if you take away your ability to make changes, you are stuck if circumstances change - unless you have left yourself some sort of an escape provision.
