As far as inheriting from your grandfather's estate, it will depend on several facts (i.e. is there a will, who are the other surviving heirs, etc.). In regards to the Death Certificate, if one has been filed you should be able to locate it through the probate court in the county where your grandfather was living at the time of his death.
