validity of ownership

if stated in a will all assets are to be liquified/distributed, and the owner of the will adds another person (not in the will) to his/her car and home as ''or''. will those items be legally the other persons property if the will owner dies?

If they own the property with a right of survivorship, the property becomes them regardless of what the will says.
