Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
My wife died in a car accident in 2010,with me and my son being the beneficiaries,without a will. I let my mother in law be the executor of the estate. The last issue was settled on November 4th,2013,with an auto insurance check being issued to the estate. I have yet to hear anything about distribution of the received money,paid to the estate,nor any status or inventory of assets from her or the lawyer. What is the timeline in which they should disperse the funds.

The Court is in charge of the timeframe. Write a certified letter to the attorney requesting a status update. See if that gets you your answer. If not, you may need to hire an attorney to get your answers.
