Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I have a will that is current. but I moved from ohio to florida. Do I have to make a new will ?

An attorney would have to see if it complies with Florida law. If it does, it may be OK. However, it may be better to make a Florida Will to avoid potential complications.

Out of state wills are fine if they comply with Florida law. However, when time to probate arrives, the Last Will and Testament will have to be filed as an ancilliary probate with the actual probate taking place in Ohio. If your intention is to remain in Florida, I suggest you do a new will along with the directives for this state. If you are in my area, contact my office for an appointment.
