dads in hospice,, no will, no power of attorney how do iaccess bank account to pay his rent etc.?

Unless you can get him to sign a POA or be appointed his guadian you cannot have access to his accounts.

If your dad is competent he can sign a Power of Attorney, if not you will have to get the court to appoint you as his guardian.

An attorney can help you with either of these tasks.
