Does a will supercede an assignment of beneficary on a CD or savings account?

In Florida, does a will supercede an assignment of a beneficary on a CD if the CD was issued in a Virginia Bank...my mother died and left me everything in her will but assigned me 1/2 of a CD that we later discovered that was obtained four years prior to the latest will assigning me everything.
