Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
old will
85 year old father lives in fla. His will states mother and 2 brothers in it, but all have passed away. i am the only child left. Should he update his will to this fact. He is healthy and very alert.

It is never a bad idea to update one's will periodically, especially if there are major life changes. If there are gifts made in the will and the parties listed have predeceased the will maker, those gifts would fail, but how the property would then be distributed (or redistributed) can only be told upon a reading of the will itself. -GJR
