Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

wills

how do you find out if a wills was file. My late ex husband told the children he had a will. His live in girlfriend claims the house is joint tenancy so she get it. He left his pension to her also, now she says there is no will so she paid the final funeral bill, does this entitle her to his bank account and any other assets.

Re: wills

The laws require someone who has a will to file it. If you know his lawyer you can contact him or her. You can see how the house was held (whether by joint tennancy or not) by going to the public records in the county where he lived and where the property was.
