Hi,

I live in Florida, and I have a permanent residency. I'm currently waiting for my citizenship.

I have a lumpsum amount for $500,000 life insurance, some properties, stock market, etc. I'm making my eldest sister and her only son as beneficiary. Under U.S. law and Florida Law, is it possible for them to inherit from me, what are the taxes involved and and legal procedure or laws that will keep them from inheriting anything from me?
