Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida
Deceased
My attorney for the last 10 years, past away. He did collect some monies from the insurance carrier, before he died. I engaged a new attorney. Who pays the new attorney fees, once i settle the case, me or the insurance company.

Re: Deceased
as a general rule, the injured worker is responsible for payment of his own attorney fees, unless the Employer/Carrier has agreed he is entitled to a fee in obtaining past benefits. Please discuss this in greater detail with your attorney to get further clarification
