Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

My employer is based in CA and I work from Florida. Got laid off as of Nov 15.Unemployement benefits must be claim where?

Are the checks issued in Florida? Is unemployment deducted from your checks and paid to Florida? if so the UC claim is in Florida. Not enough details to know for sure.
