Does the employer have to provide a position for the injured employee once he is released from the Doctor to return to work?

No. While the employer cannot terminate, threaten to terminate or harass an employee as retaliation for pursuing a workers' compensation claim, the employer is not required to hold open a position for the injured worker or accomadate restrictions.
