Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida
I was injured on the job(burned hand). How long must one be out of work before they are eligible for worker's comp?

You are entitled to medical care regardles of how long you are out of work. As for lost wages, you must be out of work for a consecutive period of 21 days to receive benefits for the first week out of work. You are entitled to lost wages for weeks 2 and 3 even if you are not out of work consecutively for 21 days. Lost wages can be paid if you are out of work for a maximum of 104 weeks.
