Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida
I was injured on the job as a deputy with a sheriff's office. I have very little sick/personal time left. Will I have to be using that sick/personal time? Will I lose my job as I don't have enough time to cover my recuperation (2 fractured disks in back after fall while chasing prisoner- doctors say i may need surgery in 2 weeks) Other deputies are willing to donate time. Isn't there some sort of protection when you are injured on the job so you don't lose your job due to required time off from the injury while under doctor's care?
