Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida
I was injured at work and must have surgery. It has been painful and am worried about my future as an RN. It is likely I will have residual limitations from this injury. Am I entitled to anything more than the 66 2/3 pay Workers Comp will give me?

You are entitled to the medical care and you get lost wages while you are out of work. If you are sent back to work, even after MMI, you are limited to Impairment Income Benefits, paid based on your permanent injury rating times 2 weeks for the % below 10. You get on compensation for you inability to do the same work or for your pain and suffering within the w/c system. Only if you have some claim against a third party would you get those types of damages.
