Two injuries at work- Don't know if I will be able to do same work again

Dear Sir/s,

I have suffered 2 injuries in the five years working for a subco/Airborne Express. My position, cover driver supervisor my work requires lifting heavy boxes, w/o weight restriction. 1st injury, Plantar fascitis was diagnosed by the WC clinic without an MRI. I had a lot of pain but never missed one day of work. WC carrier gave me 30 therapy + and back to normal work. Last year I started to getting worse from my plantar fascitis and also sciatic pain started. The insur. carrier for the plantar fascitis now sent me to a Dr. whom send me an MRI and yes a have a 7mm bruse and tear down on one side of my feet and will require treatment absolute rest and even surgery. The 2nd Injury is handled by the other Ins. Carrier's Neurologist and they are paying me for the time being absent. I have been 2 months with absolute rest because I kept wkng and the plantar fascitis got worst. For the Sciatic pain the neurologist is working on diagnosis. I do not know if I can work back because I may have to go on light duty and never do the same Job. Shall you have any suggestions to help please do.

Keep in mind that workers' compensation should compensate you for the time you miss due to your injury (if you have restrictions), up through the time you reach maximum medical improvement. Even if you can't do the work you were doing prior to your injury, you may not get fully compensated for time out of work after maximum medical improvement unless you are permanently and totally disabled, which is a difficult standard to prove.
