Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

insurance

I want to start a tree cutting and removal business. There will be three empolyee's working for the company. A corporation is filed with two officer/director's which will file to be exempt from worker's comp. With three employee's we are not required to carry worker's comp. What can happen to my business if a worker is hurt? Can The business be sued? Please give me information on this subject because I can't seen to get straight answers on this. What we will be doing is not classed as construction.

Re: insurance

I suggest you consult with an insurance agent, one who has his own errors and omissions insurance in case he gives you the wrong information. Then hire a good attorney versed in insurance law for a written opinion. Free advice over this service will do you no good and I wouldn't advise you on this type of problem on this forum. You are not only dealing with liability, you may be dealing with a criminal act if you don't have the right coverage.
