Re: laidoff after return to work

If you return to work after being injured, the employer should not be able to lay you off for reasons relating to your on the job injury. If the employer has workers' comp. insurance and you return back to work you will continue to be insured and have the ability to receive medical attention. There is a strict statute of limitations. I always tell my clients to make sure they return to their auth. doctor atleast once every year. Do not leta one year period go by.

I would think that your employer has let you go for some other reason. You should seek an workers' comp. atty. to see if you would have the ability to receive any workers' comp. benefits after your firing.

The above has not established an atty./client relationship and you are encouraged to seek the opion of an atty. for advice.
