Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

Punched in face by my supervisor

A supervisor did not want me to come back to work at a company I had been employed at. Others knew this before hiring me back. I was seated at my workstation on a phone call on my first day back. I looked up and saw my supervisor standing there. I stood up and he punched me in my face unprovoked. I called the police and am pressing charges. It has been 3 days now and my employer says he doesnt know the workers comp information. It is a large nationwide company and I have a constant headache that will not go away, and slight problems remembering things. What can I do? Can I sue my employer? Haw can I go about seeing a doctor.. etc. Thanks

Re: Punched in face by my supervisor

you may be able to sue your employer if there was some knowledge on the part of the employer of the violent nature of this supervisor. Alternatively, you may be able to sue the co-employee directly for an intentional act. You need to consult with a workers' compensation attorney and a personal injury attorney immediately to determine your rights.
