Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

we have requested a change of doctors from workers comp..After 5 days they had not responded and our laywer petitioned them a week ago. Today our lawyer told us that workers comp could fight us on that "based on legal issues"..what does that mean? and how long does all this take to actual get a changege of Dr's? mmi reached..return to light duty with restrictions and 3% perm. injury (back injury) and beneifits stopped..

Under the facts you have indicated, you are entitled to a one time change of physician (assuming you never changed before). That doesn't mean that the insurance company can't stall or deny it. Listen to your lawyer and don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand.
