Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

if you settle a workmancomp claim case with insurance company and the employer ask you to resign,if you except.can you then file claim for your employer or exemployer group coverage long term disability for a differant heath condition?if you have the oppertunity to ask the docter to submit claim before you sign release would that be better ?or is is it nessasary?

Impossible to answer this without seeing the actual long term disability policy. if you settled your w/c claim was this discussed with an attorney? if so, ask the attorney who assisted you about this circumstance. seek legal advice before you proceed.
