Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida
After having two shoulder surgeries from a work injury, my second orthopedic surgeon suggested a move from Alaska to Florida. I was also diagnosed with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome and depression two orthopedic surgeons, a neurologist and a pain doctor. I am in pain 24/7. I have had numerous case workers who would not return calls for weeks and months at one time. Workers Comp has denied treatment recommendations by my doctor. They only intermittently pay for my meds even though I had taken them for more than two years .They stopped the monthly checks a year ago. Now, they are not paying my neurologist anymore, they are only paying for my meds. Is this bad faith? If so, do I need an attorney in Alaska or Florida? The injury was in March, 2010 and I moved to Florida in 2011.

The law in the location of your accident controls. Your case would have to be pursued in that jurisdiction. Just because you moved to Florida does not mean Florida can exert jurisdiction on your case. Seek legal help.
