Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

Telecommuting and Workman's Comp

I have been telecommuting for our Illinois based employer for 2.5 years. I have an area in my house specifically designated for work. Another co worker works in the home office with me as well. I tripped over her computer cords and broke my elbow. Can I claim workman's comp?

Re: Telecommuting and Workman's Comp

Yes. As long as your injury arose out of your employment and you were where you were supposed to be (in your home office) I see no reason why you aren't covered by workers' compensation.
