Worker's Comp
My boyfriend got hurt on his job and i was wondering how does worker's comp work and what is the job suppose to do?Also he had surgery on right arm because when glass cut him it cut his muscles so the doctor put him on light duty work.Do he need to seek a lawyer or attorney?

The workers' compensation system is very complicated. The employer and the insurance carrier will not tell you about all the benefits you may be entitled to. Even the doctors don't know that they can give an injured worker an Rx for attendant care to be provided by a girlfriend if the injured worker can't perform all the activities of daily living and needs help. The person providing the care can be paid by the hour.
