Workers Compensation insurance
are you required to have more than just one employee to carry workers compensation?

Any employee can buy workers' compensation insurance regardless of the amount of employees. An employer MUST have worker's comp coverage once they have 4 employees. Otherwise it is optional but the decision not to have it with less than 4 must post that and still may be liable for injuries.
