Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida
workmans comp
ive been at my job almost 5 years. it is a very stressful job and within the last month or so they had to call 911 for me 2 times and the third time i called my husband and he took me to the er. the problem is cause by stress and anxiety so the drs say. i start shaking and my face gets numb and i cant talk and i hyperventilate. anyway ive accumualted lots of med bills also i have stepped down to a less stressful posisition which i had to take a 90 per hour pay cut. this never happens anywhere else only at work. after the first attack i had trouble seeing went to a retina spec turns out i have retinal hemmoaging which the dr sqid if my bp went high enough it could of caused it. anyway my question is should i tell my employer i want to file a workmans comp claim? alot of people are telling me too.

Re: workmans comp
Stress injuries are very very rarely covered by workers' comp. Without a physical injury CAUSING the stress, it's near impossible. Even then the benefits are very limited. It sounds to me like it's time to find a new type of job to preserve your health.
