Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in France

overseas jurisdiction.

I am british but live permanently in France. A UK Lawyer obtained a Chancery judgement against my wife, our defence and acknowledgement was rejected as we did not ahve a UK lawyer or address and were deemed out of thye jurisiction. The case has now been stayed till Oct as a result of a letter. My question is if the judgement is upheld can it be enforced if we are not in the jurisdiction?
