Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Contributing to the delinquency of minors
My 17 year ols son had a party at my house. I discovered that several kids had brought beer and liquer. As I found it, I disposed of it. I annouced that no one that had been drinking was allowed to leave. I was encouraging people that had not been drinking to leave and making sure that everyone that was leaving had not been drinking. A neighbot called the police because of the noise. I explained this to the officer and he said that I was right not to let the kids leave. About an hour later the police came back and came into the house and started having kids blow. I was arrested, even though I did not provide the alcohol. How serious is this? I have no previous record.

Re: Contributing to the delinquency of minors
This seems like a ridiculous charge since it requires the intent to "corrupt" minors. It is clear that there is no intent here, I would definitely fight this charge, if interested, call us at 404-250-1113.

I'm sure the police story will be diferent than the one you gave. It will therefore become a jury question. You'll need a lawyer in any case.
