My daughter is 17 and dropped out of school and mt ex wife just got arrested on a probation violation and will serve time, can I stop paying child support for either of the situations?

Read your divorce decree and other associated documents, they should contain the answer you are seeking. What you can also do, in the event that you have a right to contact with your daughter, is make sure that you are actively involved in assuring that she receives appropropriate guidance, counseling and support to facilitate her ability to understand the consequences of her actions/make responsible decisions.

You need to look at the settlement agreement - usually cs continues until 18 or graduates high school.
