Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Stantard Visitation - word interpretation

I hae been divorced for 2 years and was granted the Standard Visitation plus 4 hours additional visitation on Wednesdays. All has been well until I remarried and now the Ex is upset with me. She now is saying that the last artical of the Standard Visitation for Georgia says only the Non Custodial parent(myself) can pick up my daughter for visitation. The wording actually say ''The Non Custodial Parent shall be responsible for picking up and returning the child to the Custodial Parent's residence.'' No where else does my decree specify anything other than this. Does anyone have a take on this?

Thanks

Re: Stantard Visitation - word interpretation

Normally, you may have a spouse or parent pick the child up and deliver the child back without court approval. Paramours, live-ins, etc. are not acceptable to perform this function. You may have to go back to court for clarification if the "ex" persists in refusing you visitation because you personally are unable to pick up the child. I would also think about filing a contempt against her if you do have to go back to court.
