Legal Question in Disability Law in Georgia

Discrimination Case

Hello,

I have artificial legs and was working at a state prison as a counselor for all of a week. I was then FORCED to quit due to my handicapp. I filed a complaint with the EEOC and they found in my favor. We tried negotiating compensation but the Prison refused to give what the EEOC asked. So the EEOC turned the case over to the Dept. of Justice. Now I have received a letter from the DOJ stating I have 90 days to file a suit. I live in a small town in south GA and can't find any local lawyers that handle discrimination cases. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

You should contact the bar associations in the nearest large towns, such as Columbus, Brunswick, Savannah, Macon to request the names of attorneys that handle employment discrimination and/or ADA cases.

You may also want to check out the website www.nela.org. It's the site for the National Employment Lawyer's Association. They are a group of lawyers that devote more than 50% of their practice to representing employees in employment disputes.
