pregnancy discrimination

my complications have made me have a lot of abscenses which they dealt with,,, then they forced me to sign a contract to be independant contractor or resign,,,,,,,,, 1 week later they fired me for not doing my job,,,,,,,,,,,im not qualified for independant contractor was that there way out

It is difficult to tell from your description if you have a legitimate claim for pregnancy discrimination or not. However, an employer cannot avoid liability for pregnancy discrimination simply by calling you an independent contractor. If you believe that you were discriminated against, I would recommend that you consult with an attorney to discuss your situation and your rights in this situation.
