Legal Question in Disability Law in Georgia
I work for the federal government and went out on maternity leave under FMLA. Since I was on leave without pay, they have held up my raise/promotional increase stating that I have to serve the stipulated time of 1 year in my current pay grade. Essentially, until I put that time back in. I thought FMLA protected against this type of repercussion???

FMLA protects your job, and apparently you still have it. It certainly does not mean you get additional benefits as if you has been working the entire time ... because you have not been working the entire time. FMLA is not meant to give you extra benefits.
