Legal Question in Administrative Law in Georgia
I applied for a concealed carry permit, went through all the appropriate steps, paid all the fees. Several months later, I still have no permit. I called up to the probate court and was told they could not find my paperwork and would call me back. I have still not received a phone call back and they will not take phone calls at this time. Is there anything I can do? It's beginning to really upset me that they took my money and are too incompetent to fulfill their duty as a court.

Calling back and forth on the phone and getting a random person is not going to work. As I recall, when you apply you get a receipt from the Clerk when you apply. Go back to the Clerk's office with your receipt and see if they have a record. If they can't find it, re-apply. Waiting for months, calling and expecting a call back is not going to get you anywhere. The goal is to get a permit, not find lost paperwork.
