I think you misunderstand this site's limits. There is no "you" (it's an anonymous internet page, so no one can contact you). By misposting under administrative law (this is a probate question), probate lawyers will likely not see it.

Step children are rarely heirs. But wills are public records, so you can get a copy at the county probate court. If you were not contacted with a copy, it is highly likely you were not included.

Carolyn: Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your stepfather. If your stepfather lived in Eatonton, GA at the time of his death the will had to have been probated in the Probate Court of Putnam County, 100 S. Jefferson Ave. #318, Eatonton, GA 31024. Telephone: (706)485-5476. I disagree with Mr. Ashman. In my experience stepchildren are heirs under wills all the time (I just finished a case where that occurred). Sometimes if the Executor is an heir and he/she doesn't want the stepchild to obtain the stepchild's inheritance the Executor will purposely try to keep the stepchild in the dark about what is in the will. You should contact the Probate Court and seek a copy of the will. If you are an heir, or wish to contest the will, call me and I will send you to the best lawyer in Eatonton for that type of case as I know attorneys there. Best of luck to you.
