Legal Question in Administrative Law in Georgia

I purchased the will pkg. $39.99

In GA do I need to have the will notarized? Do I need a witness to sign what's called a self-proving affidavit in the presence of a notary?

Will your lawyers view our will when finished?

If you choose to do a will online (a bad idea), lawyers never see it (the lawyers that answer questions her are lawyers unrelated to Law Guru). Note that if you improperly sign and witness it, including SAYING the wrong things to the witnesses, your will can be invalid. And absent a self-proving affidavit, probate is more complex. It is really smarter to hire a lawyer. For about $250, I (and many other lawyers) will not only custom draft a will tailored to your needs (not a form), but also give you valuable advice on how to restructure insurance, bank accounts and retirement plans to simplify probate. We can also make sure you have a proper durable power of attorney and health care directive. If you do an online form will, set up a consult with a lawyer to review it. We have done those type consults for years for about $100. About half the form wills we have seen are seriously defective, with many invalid. Most of the rest have been less than optimal. How is a cheap form useful? It may lower your legal costs by showing a lawyer what you intend, so he spends less time optimizing your lawyer-written will.
