Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Georgia

Appeal a U.S. Court of Appeals decision.

On a civil case that the U.S.Court of Appeals has affirmed for the Defendants, can the plantiff appeal again to the Court of Appeals? or is the appeal process ended. In most of the case point used in the opinion of the court decision it has no bearing on this case in regards to type of case of form used in case. Is that common?

Re: Appeal a U.S. Court of Appeals decision.

Initially, a 3-judge panel hears the appeal. Once that panel makes its decision, a litigant my petition the court for all of the appellate judges in that circuit to rule on the case. The circuit court usually denies such petitions. Then the litigants can petition the Supreme Court to hear the case. The Supreme Court agrees to hear very few cases.
