Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Georgia

Can I appeal my eviction. I went to my landlord after I was served the eviction notice. I asked if we could talk about a resolution on getting the rent paid. She would not accept my offer because she is claiming that if she takes money it would cancel out the warrant.

You can appeal most any case, but winning or stopping the inevitable is a different question. If an actual eviction order and writ of possession has been entered, meaning you already lost at a hearing, then what new legal grounds do you have? In addition, if a writ of possession has been entered the marshall or sheriff could be warming up their cars right now to go put all your things on the street. There is no reason to wait on that terrible experience. Time and money on an appeal is time and money that could be used to find a new place.
