Legal Number of Days to Terminate Apt Lease Early due to Purchase of Home

I signed a 6 mos. lease with an apartment complex. I am purchasing a home & will close on it within 30 days. I would like to give a 30 day termination notice to the landlord for early termination. What is Georgia's legal # of days notice so that I will not have to pay a early termination fee? The apartment management is telling me 60 days no matter what. Thanks,--name removed--

The terms of the lease, not GA law will determine how much notice you will have to give to terminate early. So, look at the terms of the lease and give notice accordingly or risk being sued for breach.
