if my mother owns the house i live in, who would we need to get with at a court house to transfer the property in my name.

You would need to get with a Georgia real estate lawyer like me. I would prepare a new deed to the home that would reflect your ownership interest in the home and your mother would have to sign it. We we would then file that document in the land records and the house would be yours.
