Legal Question in Banking Law in Georgia
I have a debt in my name only that is secured by a piece of land that is in my husbnads name only. He gave a statement that it is ok for me to use it a security. Is that legal.

You can't do that with a "statement." To do that, he'd likely have to cosign a note and the lender would record a deed to secure debt (mortgage). If that isn't what happened, something is likely very wrong and you should see a lawyer to show him/her the paperwork.
