Legal Question in Banking Law in Georgia

I recently purchased a car in georgia and financed the car through a bank. The loan contract was written up in my name only and only I signed the loan contracts. When I read the loan contracts more carefully, I noticed that that my husband"s social security number was listed in the place of the borrower on the loan contract instead of mine. Why would this have happened? What do I need to do about it?

You are asking for a guess as to how it happened, and that will not necessarily help you. We don't know what the loan app said, what info the dealer had, etc. What did the lender say when you called them to discuss the matter? Are your credit reports correct? You'll need to check them in a few months to see that the loan is properly entered. If the lender is open to it, you can sign corrected documents, but that would take careful reading this time, making sure you don't sign a second set of loan docs. It might also end up being a harmless error.
