Legal Question in Banking Law in Georgia
I sold a car back in september that was paid off but the title said there was a lien on it. but o know that the lien was cleared now the guy is trying to say that either i have to pay back the money he paid for the car or pay for the copy of the lien release form. am i legally responsible for any of this?

Yes. It was your responsibility to have the title cleared. You are both in violation of a criminalk statute (meaning you can go to jail) and civil statutes (meaning you can be sued). Immediately do whatever it takes to make your customer happy, because if he wants he can have you arrested or get damages from you. And plan to retain a good lawyer if you don't make him really happy. You will need one.
