Legal Question in Banking Law in Georgia
i go to Southern Poly-tech University, 2 months ago i was sent a check from the school for reimbursement for tuition. the school calls me today saying they sent me the check by error and i need to give them the money back. Am i legally obligated to give the school the money back? since it was their fault for sending me this money.

If you mistakenly sent them a double payment, would you want the money back or would you just say "ooops...my fault they get to keep the money?" Most people probably would not even need to ask whether it is "legal" or not, and would not have even cashed a check they knew they should not have received. College is not the place to forget about basic honesty and integrity.
