Legal Question in Banking Law in Georgia

Had Turbo Tax direct deposit my tax refund to my Walmart Money Card, I made 3 transactions, my phone bill, my cable bill and 1 small ebay purchase. Then they blocked my card with a $5800 balance, they asked me to scan my DL and send it to them and I did, It's now been a week and I still cannot access my money. I have had this card for over 2 years and this is my 3rd tax refund to be Dir Dep, plus I have had my paycheck Dir DEp to it every 2 wks during this time. Is this lsgal for them to do? It is putting a tremendous strain on my family....we have no money.

Money cards are bad news. Sadly, for those who cannot get checking accounts (and this is why everyone needs to get one at a young age and never bounce a check), they become the only option. Obviously here we have no idea what went wrong, and you haven't, for some reason, chosen to tell us. Absent knowing why they did it (and I am sure you asked them) I can't give a useful answer.
