Legal Question in Banking Law in Georgia
When an x-spouse dies and leaves his children money from a savings at a bank, but the x-spouse owes money to that particular bank, can the bank take money to pay for a unpaid loan?

Creditors come ahead of heirs, so while you misphrased how it happens, the estates executor or administrator, with help from a lawyer, must address this.
