I am 24 and I own nothing but I have $8,000 in credit debts and 14,000 in school loans debts and I am unemployed at the moment. Can I file for an chapter 7 bankruptcy?

You seem like a good candidate for a chapter 7 bankruptcy. While your credit card debts may be discharged, your student loans are not automatically discharged. An adversary proceedings needs to be filed. With recent amendments to the Bankruptcy Code regarding student loans, Congress has made it more difficult to discharge student loans.
