Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

Auto Loan/Bankruptcy Question

In 2002 my father cosigned with me in order for me to be able to buy a car. Five years later in 2007 I was deployed to Iraq. During this time there my parents had the car (Had it for the last 2 1/2 years actively making payments etc.) I found out 8 months in to the deployment they had put my car on a chapter 7 bankruptcy. Is this legal? I was the primary on the car. I paid the car off in full when I found out at the end of 2007. However it still has my credit score really messed up. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Auto Loan/Bankruptcy Question

If they filed bankruptcy they had to list it.

(There is no such thing as primary and secondary. When you cosign a loan, both people are equally liable).
