Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

bankruptcy and divorce

I am married to a man of 3 years, that over the last few months he has become a drug user, unable to pay our bills, i am a student with less than 4 weeks to finish school. We filed a chapter 13 about 7 months ago and i got a letter in the mail stating that he has defaultd on the payments. i told him i wanted to convert it to chapter 7 and since everthing is in my name, he could care less. I want a divorce. i am leaving and i need to know what to do and how to handle this. the divorce and the Bankruptcy. I have been a housewife for 2 years now and have no access to any money or have any way to proove the income, he is selfemployed. I dont know what comes in or goes out.He controls all of the money. I cant even buy a piece of candy with out him knowing. I just wait for the cut off notices. I have a recording of him admitting to using drugs, i even made the recording good enough that a time line of drug use can be established. I need a lawyer and is there anyone that will please take this case pro bono. Please help me.

You have an absolute right to dismiss your part of the Chapter 13 or convcert to a Chapter 7, and the attorney who is handling it is obligated to listen to you. Since the bankruptcy laws change on October 17 (for the worse), you absolutely need to see your current bankruptcy lawyer immediately to do this.
